Good to know
- The biggest package is not always the cheapest per kilo. Check the unit price instead of the shelf price.
- A cheaper unit price only helps if you use everything. Food that is thrown away costs more than the saving.
- Compare like with like: drained weight for canned goods, and the same quality or fat content for dairy and meat.
- Shops often print the unit price on the shelf label. Use this tool when it is missing or the units differ.
